A Winter's Tale -- in the Summer

Yes, culture came to SAR when, on 16th July, a small (but very select) group attended an open-air performance at the Inn on the Park, Verulamium.  (It should have been at Kingsbury Barn but, at the last moment, some grumpy local residents became very upset, threatening to interrupt the proceedings etc.), necessitating a rapid change of venue.
It was, shall we say, not the warmest of July evenings, and our umbrellas came in handy, but quite an experience, although I for one did not think this was one of the Bard's 'best' plays - my feeble brain had some difficulty in keeping up with the rather convoluted language!  Bryan
