R.I.P. George
Those of us who knew our former, long-time members the Halahans will probably know of George's long battle against cancer, and we are sad to advise everyone that he finally lost this in April. There was a memorial service at St Peter's, St Albans, in June and some of us were there to send condolences on nehalf of SAR to Elisabeth and the rest of the family, and to remember with affection George's skilled hand with a breakfast fry-up and his strong voice serenading his fellow walkers.
