Harefield
Twenty members and three dogs left Square Orchard and took the footpath beside the River Pinn that skirts West Ruislip golf course. We then picked up the Hillingdon Trail which took us into Park Wood and round Ruislip Lido where we stopped for coffee.
The trail continued through Copse Wood where we inadvertanly left Ray behind a tree!! A search party was sent out: I am not sure whether he found us or we found him but we were eventually reunited to continue through Mad Bess and Bayhurst Woods back to the start. I think this could be described as a woodland walk!
On our return we had soup and cheese toasties and a good old chinwag with friends we hadnt seen for a long time – very enjoyable and thankfully the rain that had been forecast didnt materialise until much later
in the day. Meg
