At the 2011 AGM
More than a third of our members joined us for the AGM at St Michael’s Parish Centre on 17th March to review the past year and look forward to the future. A full set of minutes has been provided to members, but here are the main features.
After almost 10 years we are making some significant changes to the way we run the group.
First, future newsletters and other communications with members will be exclusively by email. Not only will this be significantly more flexible and timely, but the resulting savings will allow us to avoid substantial increases to our very modest annual subscription.
Email communications will start with the July newsletter – so if we don’t already have your address on file let us have it ASAP. We will also be including email addresses in the members’ newsletter for all event leaders, so you can contact them this way if you prefer.
And from 2012 our annual sub will change to £12.50 per person, payable in January – good, value, we hope you’ll agree.
Alongside this change we say goodbye and thank-you to Angela and Carol, who are standing down from the Committee, and welcome Sandra and Maggy who join us as Secretary and Publicity Officer respectively.
